Expopharm 2019: Apostore presents Pick&Place, Feeder and iScan 3.0

Our highlights:

  • Feeder: New generation of fully automatic storage with focus on OCR plain text reading
  • Keynote: Head of Product Management Antje Kleine-Horst
  • Hall 1, booth D-24

The subsidiary of the technology group KNAPP AG will present the latest upgrades of the fully automated storage systems Pick&Place and Feeder as well as the iScan 3.0 at Europe's largest pharmaceutical trade fair. All three options allow faster storage.

Pick&Place and Feeder

“The customer behaviour in the pharmacy trade has changed significantly due to the digital transformation. We will present our solutions that are tailor-made for these new requirements at the trade fair,” says Christian Bauer, Managing Director of Apostore GmbH. On an area of around 225 square metres, the manufacturer of dispensing machines will present, among other things, the latest generations of the fully automatic Pick&Place and Feeder storage systems. The Pick&Place gripper arm has been improved in terms of loading speed and can handle up to 400 packages per hour. The feeder is also showcased at the trade fair, with OCR plain text reading included. During storage, it reads the expiration date in plain text in addition to the bar code.

iScan 3.0

Another highlight is the iScan 3.0. It scans 1-2D codes from different sides and transmits all important product information for the EU Counterfeiting Protection Directive 2011/62/EU within seconds. This information includes the central pharmaceutical number, expiry date, plain text reading and batch.

Cube+ and Apostore A1000

Apostore will also present two of its automated dispensing machines: the modular Cube+ for semi- and fully automatic storage of medication as well as other small items, and the Apostore A1000 for time-saving article recording of daily deliveries. “Both solutions provide not only large storage capacities, but also a high degree of automation. They also adapt to existing conditions in a flexible manner and thereby ideally prepare pharmacies for the future,” says Bauer. The Beautyshelf powered by adcommander, which is now marketed under the Apostore brand, will also be exhibited at the stand. The interactive cosmetics shelf allows customers to experience and test an entire product range in a small space, making it theft-proof.

Antje Kleine-Horst will discuss the new conditions caused by the ongoing digitalisation in her lecture.
